Today we turn our eyes to a very controversial debate – prophesies of instant money/wealth.
For avoidance of doubt, I profess the Christian Faith. It is part of my story in my book. The Book also makes reference to several foundational scriptures on money and wealth.
What puzzles me the most is why the prophecies only appear to get fulfilled for the prophets, while the followers/sheep continue to wallow either in poverty or at best, remain trapped in the averages.
I am glad we now have several other Ministers of the Gospel who are bold enough to speak openly against this ‘stupid’ indoctrination.
Here are Biblical facts about money and wealth:
1. The God of the Bible is a God of Order – there is no way God will transfer money from bank accounts, cars parked in yards or houses that constitute another man’s lifetime investment of hard work to another man, in the absence of a formal structure within the laws that govern property rights in a country. Claiming this possibility is to propagate a ‘god’ of confusion for which the true God is not.
In all Miracles God did, He never contradicted existing laws that governed Men. Yes, he defied the laws of nature, but never caused confusion in the land.
2. In scripture, God promises to bless the work of our hands – at the heart of the miracles documented in scripture, God used something that was already available.
Examples, Shephard’s staff in Moses hands, Israelites walked to the Red Sea for it to part, Elijah and prophets of Baal – physical bull and an Altar ware prepared (work), the 2 Widows -cooking flour & a jar of oil, Jesus feeding 5,000 – loaves of bread & fish, Jesus water into wine – people had to bring the water.
When Children of Israel received manna for free, they were only to collect enough per day, not store. It dried up once they entered the fertile land of Canaan.
3. God declares wise a man who accumulates enough for his children’s children – this directly implies not only work, but growing an intergenerational wealth.
4. Nowhere in scripture contexts is poverty extolled – He blessed all those He called with material wealth. Those that brought into the storehouse, they brought out of the abundance of His blessings – not out of their poverty.
5. In creation’s story, God worked for 6 days and took rest on the 7th – so, when prophets demand the sheep spend each day in places of worship, what time will they receive the blessing of the work of their hands?
6. Finally, my people perish for lack of knowledge – do I need to say more?
