It is without a doubt that the Corona pandemic not only ruined the financial health of millions of people but also exposed the false sense of financial success for thousands in our society. Unfortunately, the Kenyan economy has also been badly managed for most of this decade and couldn’t afford any bailout cheques to small businesses and thousands of households whose livelihoods were destroyed.
But it pays no dividends to wine and worries over spilled milk. The fact is we are in this crisis and have to live through it. It will also be the height of idiocracy not to pick the lessons learned.
While all people desire money and almost all adults handle finances, the bitter truth is that very few people actually understand the rules of money. There are time-tested and practical rules of money that have lifted millions of people from poverty since the era of the great Babylonian Kingdom of old (I have collated these ideas from various books & articles over the years, but I’ll share true life stories to make them as practical as possible).
This I share to help as many of us to take charge of our financial health.
a.) Your mind – is the only limit to your wealth
On October 8th -10th in 1871, a ball of fire-ravaged over 3.3 square miles of Chicago city and with it went into smoke Field, Leiter & Co. Departmental store. Marshall Field, one of the proprietors refused to quit and in 3 weeks rebuild his store in the same spot. He went on to revolutionize retail and wholesale trading across the world as we know it today.
During the turbulence of the 1982 coup in Kenya, a little-known teacher in Gachie, Kiambu County, was rocked by the stability of his permanent & pensionable teaching job. He went into the dairy farming business with 2 cows. That teacher is the famous ‘Mwalimu Njuguna’ who revolutionized dairy farming, rears over 60 dairy cows in about ¾ an acre, and has made millions over the years.
In every crisis, there is always a silver lining. Your mind is unlimited by the amount of wealth it can attract. But you MUST learn how to attune it and signal it to make money for you. That is the primary difference between the few who accumulate real wealth and the majority of us who mark time our entire lives on the fridges of poverty.
Psychologists agree that the subconscious part of our mind is unlimited in wisdom & power. It is capable of connecting any one of us to otherwise unimaginable opportunities. The question is, how do you tap into that wisdom & power?
b.) Must have the right attitude to attract money and wealth
If you harbour any negative thoughts about money then forget it. I hear people say money is not everything, money changes people, a lot of money is not good, and the like. The bottom line is that your mind will never ever attract and bring to you that which you tell it is bad. The subconscious mind is only wired to process & bring to reality the dominant ideas transmitted to it from the conscious mind.
c.) Must have a definite number/desire of the amount of money you want
Your subconscious never works with abstracts. You must specify the number & time of money that you want. If you’ve never thought of making a million…you will never make a million; if you’ve never thought of making 100 million, it’ll never happen; if you’ve never thought of making a billion, you’ll never make it. No idea is ever transmuted into reality without first being conceived in the mind…that’s just the way it is!
d.) Transmit signals to your inner mind & relax
Psychology affirms that negative thoughts & doubts are perpetuated in the subconscious mind automatically. Positive thoughts have to be pushed past the conscious into the subconscious mind. So before you sleep, when you wake up, and as many times as possible during the day, signal the mind of your money needs & desires. Trust me, it will connect you & transmute it to reality….I have lived it to know it’s real & true!
e.) Be alert for the answers from your inner mind
Once a definite idea is transmitted to the subconscious mind, it works day & night to get you the connections or answers from anywhere, anytime. It could come as a dream, a strong feeling, or a connection to an important contact/network. It can come in the middle of the night, when in the shower, or while in a matatu…anywhere!! The beauty of it is that….if you submitted the idea… you’ll get the signal loud and clear when it comes…just don’t ignore it!
Now, have you ever wondered what the Bible means when it says whatever you pray in faith, it’ll be answered? Ever wondered how musicians get their music? Or do artists get their ideas? Or do great innovators create their innovations? Or do great writers & authors get the storylines? Or do great coaches, mentors, speakers & trainers master their control? It is the same primary concept that millionaires use to attract and retain money & wealth.
Anyone who understands and has mastered this concept is not worried about what happens from the corona crisis or any other shocker. Their business may go down, their jobs may go to the winds due to the pandemic, and the stock markets may wipe away everything, but they know they will not only recover but create much more after….for as long as the virus doesn’t take them to the next world!
For those who imagine betting, casinos & wheeler-dealing as a path to wealth, am sorry this isn’t for you. There is no evidence throughout history of anybody who made sustainable wealth through such means.
